Fire Destroys Shop At Pendleton Prison

It’s one of the biggest fires the Pendleton Fire Department has handled this year. More than 50 firefighters from surrounding counties helped battle a blaze at the Pendleton Correctional Facility. The State Fire Marshall’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire that destroyed the auto body shop Wednesday. All staff and inmates were accounted for and the reformatory was on lock down status.
