Closing The Community Building Permanently
They’re closing it down – for good. The Summitville Town Council has voted unanimously to permanently close the Summitville Community Center after it was determined it was too costly to treat it for mold. The building will be razed, but the council wants to try and save the fireplace and the plaque showing it was built for the Lions Club in 1949.
