DelCo CAFO Meeting Tonight

Opponents to the proposed hog farm in northern Delaware County are appealing the project’s county building permit. The appeal that’s been filed with the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals calls the county’s permit issuance arbitrary and an abuse of power. The appeal argues the waste pits and hog manure could contaminate drinking water and air emissions could harm neighbors’ quality of life. A public hearing on the appeal is scheduled for 6:30 this afternoon at the county building.
