DelCo Inmate Files Suit Over Jail Conditions

A Delaware County inmate has filed a “civil tort claim lawsuit” over conditions in the current jail. Inmate Steven Schick’s suit – filed in Delaware Circuit Court 1 – claims “unsafe and unhuman like living conditions” in the jail are violating his constitutional rights. The day before the suit was filed, county commissioners formally approved plans to convert the former Wilson Middle School into a new jail.
