Witnesses Claim She Was Passed Out When She Crashed

A New Castle woman has been charged with public intoxication and causing serious bodily injury while driving while intoxicated. Police say 34-year-old Carol A. Wickes crossed the center line and slammed into another vehicle. Witnesses say Wickes’ vehicle was seen traveling at a high rate of speed and the driver appeared to be unconscious just before the collision.
