Gas Rates Going Up In Lapel

Natural gas rates are increasing by more than 25-percent in Lapel. The town council voted to approve the increase, the first in 16 years, because the gas utility has been losing money since 2015. The increase will take effect in January, meaning residents will see the hike on their February bill.
