AM General To Lay Off Hundreds

Auto manufacturer AM General will lay off hundreds of workers at its Mishawaka plant in October. 435 people will be temporarily laid off while ownership of the plant is handed over to electric car maker SF motors. Workers will be able to return to the plant once things are up and running, but that process could take six months or more.
