Reorganizing The Highway Department

A proposed reorganization of the Madison County Highway Department will save the county money while giving several employees a substantial pay increase. Superintendent Scott Harless has proposed eliminating one foreman position and dividing the salary among supervisors taking on the additional workload. The Herald Bulletin reports that Harless made that presentation to the Madison County Council last week.
