Alexandria Bracing For Higher Sewer Rates

Higher sewage rates are coming for Alexandria. The City Council has adopted a new sewer rate schedule that will increase residents’ bills by more than a third. The first increase could appear on residents’ bills as soon as the next billing cycle. The second rate increase would take effect around Aug. of 2017. The base rate for most residents will increase more than 37 percent.
