Fries cause costly fire in Anderson

An Anderson man who walked away from his french fries cooking on the stove learned a costly lesson after his kitchen caught fire last night. Larry Pruitt’s residence on East 27th Street was engulfed in flames and caused $15,000 damage after he went to talk to a neighbor for a minute.
