Yorktown Police have their first female patrol officer, and she’s from Muncie. Brooke Routhe has a criminal justice and criminology degree from Ivy Tech. Yorktown Town Marshall Todd St. John says it’s important that the community be represented in the department, and notes that a female officer can sometimes help in different cases where male officers aren’t as effective.
