Missing Person / Death Investigation(s) in Madison County

On Sunday, Anderson Police received a report about a missing person. Later that day, officers located a man driving the missing person’s vehicle. He was questioned, and subsequently arrested on charges of auto theft and forgery. Detectives followed several tips and on Monday, a drone search south of Lapel resulted in finding a deceased person. The Madison County Coroner has not determined that the body found was the missing person. Investigations continue with No names released yet… more details when WE have them.
