Investigation Continues Into Muncie Woman’s Death

The death this week of a Muncie woman resulted in the arrest of her former girlfriend. However, Ashleigh Ann “Cash” Wells, 35, has not been formally accused of causing the May 27 death of 24-year-old Paige M. Orebaugh. The Star Press reports Orebaugh was found deceased in the pool house of a home in the 200 block of East Centennial Avenue. According to an affidavit, an effort to resuscitate Orebaugh with a dose of Narcan — a medication designed to counteract the symptoms of an opioid overdose — was unsuccessful.
