Addiction recovery center Director arrested (Anderson)

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department says the director of an addiction recovery center in Anderson was arrested after they say he battered a 15-year-old. Capt. Darwin Dwiggins told WISH_TV that 43-year-old Karl Lazar was taken from his home near Anderson on Friday. Jail records indicate Lazar faces charges of confinement and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. A spokesman from the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office said the information is under review.
