Juvenile Guilty in Madison County Murder

Tuesday, in Madison County Circuit Court VI,  Joseph Henry Vannote, Jr., pleaded guilty without the benefit of a plea agreement to Murder and Armed Robbery Charges. Madison County Chief Deputy Prosecutor, Andrew Hanna said 13 year old Vannote was waived to adult court for the October 2024 stabbing death and robbery of Mark Tracy Miles. Judge Mark Dudley set sentencing for July 1. The State is requesting the defendant be sentenced as an adult.  If he’s sentenced as an adult, he faces a possible sentence of 45-65 years.
