New Castle Woman Handed 27 Year Sentence In Infant Daughter’s Death

A New Castle woman who pleaded guilty to a neglect charge stemming from her infant daughter’s death has been sentenced to 27 years in prison. According to the Star Press, 31 year old Cheyenne S. Sexton pleaded guilty in February to neglect of a dependent resulting in death. Sexton’s infant daughter, Lyra Lenora Orr, died in her mother’s home on Sept. 4, 2021.
