South Madison Fire Territory To Expand
The 8 entities involved in the merger talks voted unanimously to become part of the South Madison Fire Territory . The territory will consist of Pendleton, Lapel, Markleville, Ingalls, Fall Creek Township, Stony Creek Township, Adams Township and Green Township Fire companies. The expanded fire and EMS coverage will serve the towns and rural areas of southern Madison County.
South Madison Fire Chief Chris Nodine told Woof Boom News the next step will be approval from the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance to establish a tax rate.
