One Person Dead After Anderson House Fire

An investigation is underway after a house fire left one person dead in Anderson Tuesday. Firefighters turned out on the 2500 block of Thayer Court. Two people were trapped inside the residence. Firefighters managed to rescue one of these individuals, who was then transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. AFD said crews on the scene were unable to rescue the other individual, identified as 72-year-old Lacey Sawyer Senior.
