Suspect in Shooting of Elwood Officer Ruled Competent to Stand Trial

Carl Roy Webb Boards II is competent to stand trial in the shooting death of Elwood cop Noah Shahnavaz.  Three doctors testified to that, and last week The Herald Bulletin said the defense wants another evaluation.  The judge didn’t make a ruling on that.  Trial scheduled for January 2025.
