It took about 20 minutes on Monday for the Anderson Housing Authority to add more than 1,100 people to the waiting list for housing. The Herald Bulletin reports the 1,136 applications being processed will be on the waiting list for housing after the 134 people on the 2022 waiting list have been provided with housing. Applicants go through a background check and an income survey.
