Convicted Muncie Arsonist Gets Time Served

A Muncie man convicted of arson was sentenced Monday to time already served in the Delaware County jail — and ordered to pay nearly $57,000 in restitution. According to the Star Press, 22 year old Michael Christopher Smithers set a fire that did significant damage to an apartment house in the 1400 block of North Wheeling Avenue in May 2020.
