Some Easing To Overcrowding Issues At Muncie Animal Shelter

Some of the crowding issues at the Muncie Animal Shelter eased somewhat last month as a number of people in the community came to shelter’s aid by adopting and sponsoring adoptions. The Star Press reports in October, overcrowding at the shelter reached emergency levels as the dog and cat population approached 500. On Wednesday, Wolfe said the dog population was 88 and the number of cats at the shelter was 159.
