Parson Mortuary is putting together an initiative called “Stockings for Veterans” from Nov. 14 to Dec. 16. Interested parties can pick up stockings at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, 801 W. Adams St., stuff them with “Christmas cheer,” and return them to the mortuary. Each stocking will then be delivered to a local veteran.
