A Muncie man stands accused of trying to kill his wife. According to the Star Press, 71 year old David McClure is charged with attempted murder after allegedly approaching his spouse from behind earlier this month as she sat on a dining room chair and tried to strangle her with an extension cord. The alleged victim said she was able to place her fingers between the cord and her neck while being choked.
