From WLBC’s reporter, Bret Busby – the Madison County Sheriff’s Department says be on the lookout for James Lee Bonewits Jr, a 28 year old large framed male white, 6’3 tall and 235 pounds with brown hair (possibly in a braid) and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Bonewits is a suspect in two murders and numerous other assaults yesterday in Huntington, Indiana.

The vehicle Bonewits had been driving during the murders was found abandoned last evening on Madison County Road 1550 North west of State Road 9 (West of Summitville) before his suspected crimes were known to local police. Bonewits is now suspected of having been on foot in the area last evening but was not located and may still be in the area.

Bonewits is dangerous and unpredictable. He is known to have been armed with at least two knives. Residents in the area should lock their homes and vehicles.
