Report: Contractor Will Plead Guilty In Muncie Corruption Probe

A guilty plea is coming from a Delaware County contractor in connection with a federal probe of corruption in Muncie city government. The Star Press reports 53-year-old Rodney A. Barber will acknowledge Phil Nichols, former Democratic Party chairman in Delaware County, $5,500 in cash in exchange for winning a contract to do “sewer water repair and maintenance work” for the Muncie Sanitary District.
