Numbers Show Lower Number Of Ballots Cast Than 2016 Primary

The Delaware County 2020 primary election saw lower voter turnout than in 2016 and a significantly higher rate of absentee voting, reports the Star Press. Delaware County had 18,706 ballots cast this primary, roughly 23% of the registered voters in the county. In 2016, Delaware County saw a 34% turnout. The two presidential election year primaries had a 12,300 vote difference.
