Anderson City Council Approves Bond For Assisted Living Facility

A $24 million bond for the the Sweet Galilee housing project has been approved by Anderson City Council. The project is a 130 unit assisted living facility and construction will begin next year. Under the deal, Anderson’s credit rating is not impacted and the city is not responsible for any of the payments, reports the Herald Bulletin. Construction will start in the first quarter of next year with a planned opening in early 2021.
