After a marathon session, Anderson City Council approved the next step in setting up a substance abuse recovery center. Debate on the center, to be located at the old Mockingbird Hill site, lasted three and a half hours. The proposed facility would have 92 beds for men suffering from addiction. The rezoning allows the center to go up, but keeps the area residential.
