The Madison County Board of Commissioners has approved a lease agreement with Star Bank to finance the cost of purchasing new voting machines.The lease amount is just under a million dollars with semi annual payments starting in 2021. The interest rate is 2.45%, reports the Herald Bulletin. The machines have paper ballots in addition to computer voting capabilities.
