MadCo Commissioners Change District Boundaries

Madison County Commissioners have approved the creation of new district boundaries. The changes were proposed to alter the district lines for the election of the three members of the board of commissioners in July, reports the Herald Bulletin. Backers say they want the boundaries based on population rather than regional geography. Indiana State statute doesn’t require that commissioner districts be based on population.
