Former Police Chief Sues City And Mayor

Former Dunkirk Chief of Police, Dane Mumbower, has filed a two-count lawsuit against the City of Dunkirk and Mayor Eugene Ritter.  Mumbower’s attorney says after he was removed as Chief of Police, Mayor Ritter demoted him from Captain to Patrolman First Class because of Mumbower’s perceived support for Ritter’s political opponent in next week’s municipal election.
