They remain on the picket lines this morning. The United Auto Workers union, which totals approximately 49,000 workers at 33 General Motors plants nationwide, went on strike at midnight Sunday. The strike affects workers at GM plants in Marion, Kokomo, Fort Wayne and Bedford. In all, about 7,000 UAW members work at the four Indiana plants.
