Officials in the Bahamas say at least 20 people died as a result of Hurricane Dorian – the storm slightly picked up strength as it moved closer to the Carolina coast. Mandatory evacuations are in place for North Carolina’s barrier islands and states of emergency are in effect throughout Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina as Hurricane Dorian may make landfall.
