A Muncie man, who was a IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital police officer, is accused of stealing meds from a hospital safe. 30 year old Michael Goldsmith was spotted on surveillance video and became a suspect in the thefts of 141 narcotic pain medication tablets from a safe in the police department’s office. He’s charged with misconduct and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or deceit.
