A project that would have brought a steel dust recycling plant to Muncie is off. City officials and representatives from Waelz Sustainable Products have announced the project will not move forward after a substantial amount of public opposition to the project. The Star Press reports the agreement not to proceed is pending a resolution with the Muncie Redevelopment Commission to acquire the brownfield site.
