Attempted murder and other counts face a Muncie man accused of stabbing his brother and niece early Monday. 45 year old Matthew Edward VanMatre of the 2200 block of East Hoyt Avenue, was being held in the Delaware County jail under a bond of $80,000. Police were called to his brother’s home at about 12:45 Monday morning where the incident had taken place.
