The Alexandria City Council is considering an ordinance that would limit the dates and times fireworks can be set off. The Herald Bulletin reports the issue was brought before the council by Alexandria residents, and the ordinance presented is similar to Anderson’s. Currently in Anderson, residents are allowed to light off fireworks from 5 p.m. to two hours after sunset from June 29 through July 3rd and from July 5th through July 9th.
