A Blackford County man has been charged with causing severe injuries to his 12-day-old son. 28-year-old Nathan Frederick entered a guilty plea after striking a deal with prosecutors. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Frederick would be dismissed of a second charge dealing with domestic battery. Frederick pleaded to neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury – a level 5 felony that could carry up to six years in prison.
