A convicted murderer will return to a Madison County courtroom to be re-sentenced. Fred Baer was accused of slaying a woman and her daughter in 2004. Baer was convicted of murder, attempted rape and theft, and he was originally sentenced to death. Baer’s new hearing is set for 11 a.m. on August 1.
