30 Years Behind Bars For Home Invasion Turned Deadly

30 years behind bars for a New Castle man in connection with a 2016 home invastion that turned deadly. 30 year old Tyler Jesse Pennington pleaded guilty to attempted robbery resulting in serious bodily injury stemming from the incident that left 23-year-old Chancellor D. “Chance” Smith dead. Police had said Pennington was one of two men who broke into a home on the 6200 block of South Henry County Road 325-W, near Spiceland, on Nov. 6, 2016.
