Memorial Day is filled with programs and services throughout the day at local cemeteries. Annual Memorial Services from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will start at nine in the morning at Heekin Park. The Delaware County Honor Guard will perform “Taps” and it will also include the Roll of Honor, a rifle salute and a wreath tribute. On Sunday May 26th, a quilt will be presented to a veteran at the Union Cemetery in Eaton. Speakers Dan Vore and an Honor Guard will include a presentation of a wreath.
