A Chesterfield mother has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the neglect of her children. 26-year-old Kayla Hudson’s 23-month-old daughter, Paisley Hudson, died of injuries in 2018 and her 3-year-old son was taken into protective custody after showing signs that he had been abused. Hudson’s boyfriend, Ryan Ramirez is charged with the murder of Paisley and causing serious injury to the boy. Ramirez’s trial is set for September 9.
