Three candidates were removed from the primary ballot this week by the Delaware County Election Board. The panel heard 17 challenges. Tony Cox, a Republican running for mayor was removed because he had no Indiana GOP primary affliation. Monte Murphy, running for Muncie City Council District 6 was ruled invalid because he, at one time, was convicted of a felony, which was later reduced to a misdemeanor. Steve Smith was removed at his own request as candidate for Muncie City Countil at-large.
