Police Say Many Buying Rifle, Stole Rifle

What was supposed to be the sale of a gun turned into an armed robbery in Muncie, say police. 31 year old Daytrieon Jones of the 1100 block of South Shipley Street had arranged to buy a rifle from a Muncie man, through a friend, for $1,000. The seller told Jones to meet him at a southeastside home Monday evening. As Jones was looking at the rifle, he took a loaded magazine from his pocket and inserted it, then pointed it the victim and claimed the rifle as his own. Jones was arrested a short time later.
