Contractors are being asked to submit bids for the repaving of 53rd Street. The Anderson Board of Public Works has set a bid date of March 19 to repave 53rd Street from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Scatterfield Road. The city received a $1 million Community Crossroads grant for the resurfacing and has $1.1 million to go toward the cost of the project
