Anderson; Elwood Apply For Road Repair Funding

The city of Anderson has applied for a $1 million grant through the Indiana Community Crossroads program. The state funding, if approved, would be used for three projects. They include Broadway from School Street to Indiana 9. The other two projects are on 38th Street from Columbus Avenue to Scatterfield Road and from Raible Avenue to Madison Avenue. The city of Elwood has also applied for the grant. The money would be used to remedy issues raised by a road assessment plan. They have compiled a list of streets addressing the worst streets first.
