Severe Cold Blamed For Eight Midwest Deaths

The bitter, dangerous cold here in the Midwest is moving east and is blamed for at least 8 deaths. Chicago was forecast to reach an actual temperature of minus 26 degrees Wednesday night — just one degree away from the city’s all-time coldest temperature, which was set in 1994.
