Filing for the May 8 municipal primary is underway. So far, in Madison County Mayoral races, Incumbents Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. and Elwood Mayor Todd Jones have filed their declarations of candidacy. Penny Stevens has filed for Alexandria mayor and Republican Rick Gardner has filed as a candidate for Anderson mayor.
In Muncie, Democrat Andrew Dale and Republican Nate Jones have filed for the mayor’s race. Current Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler has not yet publicly announced his intentions, although the mayor has scheduled a press conference regarding the subject for later this afternoon.
