Delaware County Commissioners are set to vote today on the regulation of concentrated animal feeding operations. Earlier, the Delaware-Muncie Metropolitan Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation to minimum setbacks from a residence in the most rural areas of the county at 1,000 feet. CAFO critics claim that’s too weak to protect public health, property values and the environment.
